Mini Challenge (via MBMiniChallenge)
Is it August already? We had so much fun, we don’t want it to end.
Thanks again to Moonbots, including Google Lunar X PRIZE, LEGO, GeekDad, and National Instruments, for giving us the challenge.
Thanks to ViaSat for funding the mini-challenge, and special thanks to Saura for making it all so much FUN. See you next year!

We built our Moon surface for the challenge, and it’s really big! We all worked together for over an hour just to put it all together, but we did it!
We also got cool t-shirts with LEGO plates and our robot mascot on them. It was fun to write messages like YAY and LOL and GO!

We’re building our Lunar surface!
Thanks to the ViaSat grant, we were able to get all SIX ZILLION LEGO parts for the regulation Moonbots challenge board. The instructions were a little confusing at first, but once we got the hang of it we were building like crazy.
Saura’s Racetrack Hat from The Orange County Register
Saura, our team captain, shows off the horse-race hat she built for opening day at the Del Mar Racetrack. It uses lasers (!) to spur the horses on. Who says technology can’t be beautiful?
